Effectiveness of the ADDIE Model within an E-Learning Environment in Developing Creative Writing in EFL Students

The present research aimed to examine the effectiveness of ADDIE model as used in teaching online LMS Blackboard® and its facilities such discussion boards, forums blogs for improving creative writing skills EFL college students. researcher utilized a quasi-experimental method, involving pretest, posttest control group design. Sixty students were randomly selected from freshmen studying English department participated study assigned equally groups. experimental was exposed e-learning environment, which sought develop students’ while traditional method. Using checklist test designed assess specific features (originality, accuracy, self-expression, fluency, flexibility overall performance assessing participants, results t-tests eta square statistical tests demonstrated that there statistically significant differences between mean scores gained by those obtained post-testing good participants. Conclusions pedagogical implications forwarded at end article.
